But back in the day, cell phones didn’t even existed (at least not in italy
I guess that all the chances to “communicate” of our modern life has made quiet desperation a “passè” thing.
Btw, I blame desperate housewives too (and the L word, and Dr House, and…)
Any desperation is passe.
And phones… I don’t know… I don’t use my for phoning… it is more internet in my pocket that occasionally can be used for talking too.
Yes, not only is the interior world not being nurtured, it’s being encouraged to fly out into the public square. We haven’t caught up to technology on this one yet.
I like a little quiet desperation in my life by the way. It sweetens the single malt and brings the mountains into sharp relief.
