“Not Allowed”

Not being allowed to do something challenges me.
I prefer to make my own boundaries, rather than
exist in a pre-defined environment. I like being in
control of my destiny. I’d be a bad communist.

“Rules that are never violated cease to be recognized as Rules.”
Quotation from Mason Cooley, City Aphorisms

Summed up in the four words: “Stolen fries taste better.”

Tell me not to do something and I’ll ask, “Why not?” Depending on the answer, I may or may not go ahead and do it.
    Love your drawing.

    Nice…

I’m more subversive than overtly rebellious I think. Under my button down shirt I have a tattoo. In my consulting business, I ‘m really in it for the love. I look cooperative, but rarely am in a position to be told what to do by anyone. My father was a military general, I was a monastic.

That is so true! When I’m not allowed to do something it makes me curious about it!

Rags. If I pick your nose, I’d rub it on you even if I have to chase you first.
Carolina. Curiosity. My parents told me not to open car doors, then I’d open the door and watch the highway go by. It made them mad!
    Cotton. kekeke hugs.
Kalai. I wish we got more movies from India. It’s silly we don’t, because you have a great movie industry.
Gary. A suit with a hidden tattoo, like an extra heart beat.
Beth. Not enough people ask ‘why not’ and the world would be better. Hugs.
GW. Lol it’s true, stolen fries and pizza slices and kisses…

I do like challenging rules too. But I don’t really do it for the hell of it anymore. These days, I AM actually genuinely interested in finding out whether rules make sense or not, and if they make sense, I’m more than happy to follow them. Like for example, not to hurt anyone is a rule that makes sense to me. Or not to steal.

Thank you for always inspiring your readers to think, Sera. You’re a smart woman.
