When my mom was a teenager, they weren’t allowed to listen to “Sh-Boom” because it was “too loud.”
Lordy, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

I’m not 100% sure what exactely freak dancing is, but I’m sure some of my dancing would probably qualify as freak dance. Can dancing ever be wrong? I don’t think so.

This is new to me (Freak Dancing, not raging teenage hormones). You’re right, there’s always a way to push it with parents and teachers, while pushing against each other somehow. When I was in junior high there was a teacher with a little ruler who would measure between couples during slow dances (clingers we called them). I can’t remember if it was 6, 8 or 12 inches, but no closer or else.
Just made the necking behind the school all the more exciting…

Hi Gary. The headers are almost always photographs now.
I over-produce them in Photoshop because I like being creative.
Sometimes they look fine on my home computer, but I cringe
when I view them on a better monitor and see I’ve used too
much sharpening or burning. Like everything in life, one tries
to get it right, and make mistakes. It’s a learning experience.
Bettina. Dancing can never be wrong if it comes from the heart.
Cotton Candy, Rags. Thanks!
GolfWidow. Things remain the same, yes. Attitudes change.

amazing how folks become victim to some sort of cultural/generational amnesia - but that’s been a problem for a while:
“I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on
frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond
words… When I was young, we were taught to be discreet and
respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wise
[disrespectful] and impatient of restraint” (Hesiod, 8th century BC).
all I can say is dance on!
