As job responsibility increases, the percentage of women
in those positions decreases. Why are only 13% of
applicants for store managers women? That’s discouraging.

I will never get it why there is still this difference between men and women if it comes to managing jobs… women are the same as men.. so what the difference, I don’t get it, great to bring it up !!

Is WalMart causing the same sort of social and cultural devastation in the UK that it’s causing over here? The corporation’s US business practices come so close to the illegal, and cross the boundary into the immoral, that it is a wonder to me that anyone still shops there.

Wow, I had no idea this was going on. I fear that Wal-Mart is not the only large company doing this they just got caught. Either way bravo for bringing some light to this subject.

Walmart is terrible! But that’s not the point here. I wonder if Wal-Mart fosters an enviroment that really discourages women from even applying to be a manager? Possibly during reviews they are told they still need to work on developing skills that will allow them to apply and told other disheartening words,.

Hmm… Maybe the rest of the women are out looking for jobs that don’t serve a monopolizing, profit-driven, family rich, megolithic corporate consume god. Well, probably not, but I had to say that :)

Women are still getting the short end of the stick in so many settings. But it’s changing.
