Great Havel quote. And so true - hope is an inner quality, like inspiration. Optimism is belief that something will turn out better than worse - sometimes there is evidence, often not. Hey, we all die in the end. But is hope extinguished from that knowledge? Not for some.

It’s a testament to the human spirit, to go on even
with a broken heart or shattered dream. Hope is
what heals us, one small thing, one step at a time.
