Here’s another scary water fact:
40% of antibiotics are fed to livestock as growth enhancers.
Livestock manure percolates into the groundwater which we drink.

Good lecture, Seraphine! People should always return the drugs to the pharmacists or whatever..so they know what to do to “destroy” them… Not nice to flush it! Have a nice sunday! ^^
Fabulous graphic and great commentary!!!
I understand the logic of drug-flushing to the flusher (get rid of them fast so no one can fish them out of the trash) but you’re very right about it not being the right way to dispose of them.
I can honestly say I have never flushed any drugs. Your post makes a great point. We all need to be more aware.
Hmmm, I don’t use pharmaceutical drugs, but I do remember flushing an illegal plant down the toilet once many years ago. Someone was pounding loudly on the front door and I was certain I was in trouble. Swoooosh! Then my friend Bruce came in with a big grin, “Did I scare you man?”
I think that what I flushed down the toilet would be useful in our water supply. As long as the stores are stocked up on cheezies and root beer.
the drawings are amazing!
