I hate the tieing of phones to networks. I think I should have the phone I like on the network I choose.

Locking the phone should be ilegal! If I buy the hardware that doesn’t mean that I am obliged to use the particular service for it. Imagine that you buy a car and then be forced to use gasoline of just one petrol company and to drive only the roads car manudfacturer allow you.

Why it must be ilegal, Kira?
if I buy TV manufacturer cannot tell me which channels I should watch.
We got those barriers too easily. All the product that are older than 30 years are free from that and we take that as normal. With new technologies, we find it normal to be told what we can do with them. It is ilegal to open the software to see how it works and what it does. But, it is ok to open a car or a TV set, or a clock to see what is inside.

Your avatars are cool. I will get an iphone soon. Just waiting to see when they get the bugs out. Always call to get your credit cards lower. Let them know, another credit card gave you a better offer. If they turn you down, keep trying, it took me 7 calls before I got mine lower.
