False, its your Responsibility, isnt it!

Being available when someone needs you is your responsibility. That’s good. It makes sense even on a worldly level. Ultimately we are responsible for everything that happens to anyone needy in the universe. It’s interesting, it’s kharmic good, Kalyan.

I had someone that told me she didn’t want to be my friend anymore.. Someone I cared for very very much.. I thought it was reciporicated, but.. perhaps not.
Anyway, I’m not sure if ‘character’ fits in there. Responsibility sure. Maybe even duty.. That’s my whole point of existance.. being there for my friends as much as I can. I don’t think we’re responsible for everything that happens to anyone needy like that.. One can only reach out to so many people in her lifetime. But those people make a difference, they reach out to others you can’t. In a way, perhaps you are.. but not directly.

Character - A distinguishing feature or attribute, as of an individual, group, or category. See Synonyms at quality.
Sadly, both the Character and Quality of many people who I know- and still love myself - is separatist like your friend. IMHO this is identity taken too far- because I am A, and your are not-A, you are “too different” and bad. The only effective judo for this offense is a hug.

Cala- I’m a believer in hugs! (I like your blog, by the way. You should do it more often).
Kat- It’s interesting that people equate being available to someone as a duty or responsibility. In my mind, duty is a negative thing, like you *have* to do it, whether you want to or not (like jury duty). But that’s a personal bias, I recognise others don’t see it that way.

Nah, to me duty isn’t negetive. I like mine. ::Nods.:: I think it fits me well.

oh my…
I’m going to have to watch myself or I’ll be spending the evening commenting on each and everyone of your comics Sera. Your works are sheer poetry that cut deep for me emotionally.
I had a friend in RL who was very near and dear to me. One minute we were close. Then she had a fight with my love and the next thing I know I’m getting a ‘goodbye forever’ via email. That was five years ago. I still miss my friend.

I don’t know what’s worse: Getting a goodbye, or getting a goodbye via email. Sera hugs Mischief.
