Wonderful shitty humor, and how curious the ropes in your hair are! A neighbor of mine has a garden protected by a wooden owl. I think the owl might have done some good the first few days it was there, but now it is several years later and it’s just another place for the birds to perch. The queen might use the toilet in the UK, but here it might be she would use the crapper, pooper, can, throne, or ‘powder room’.

Re studying in Scotland! It can be very wet, windy and cold especially for a girl from California. Glasgow is much more cosmopolitan than it used to be and the people are friendly. We have a saying “Glasgow is flash cash and Edinburgh is fur coat but no nickers (pants)” There is also St Andrews (Prince William went there) and in England there is Bath which is also a lovely city. Hope this helps a little bit.
