Although outside influences to play a part - you can look at most situations from a positive or negative outlook. Therefor choosing if you are going to be happy or sad. (They actually sing this in the opera of their name by Henry Purcell). In the end Dido kills herself and sings the famous aria "Remember me, but forget my fate!"
